New Projects
In the area of Medicine we are beginning three new projects this year:
New Laboratory Kit
We will begin performing laboratory diagnosis out in the small villages with the help of our new laboratory kit. We will now be able to test glucose, urine samples, and evaluate stool samples, as well as check for anemia and malaria. Please contact us if you can donate to this project.
New Mobile Eye Van
We will begin our new mobile eye van to evaluate on site in the small villages what glasses prescription is needed for patients. We have a ready supply of readers and sunglasses available for patients. Individualized glasses prescriptions will be made in the Peten region and available for the patient in a timely manner. New Optical Lab
We will begin the first optical lab in the Peten – with the help of Luxottica and Optical Works – we will now be able to make glasses without having to send the prescription to Guatemala City. Please contact us if you can donate to this project.
